GWSmith
Friday I'll pick her up from the vet after she has been spayed. She was picked up as a stray and found her way to Wanderers Rest Humane Association. She has the right temperment for my Wife and I and loves to get attention. It's been over 1-1/2 years since we've had our Beagle pass away from kidney failure. It took quite awhile to be ready for another....we found her. Introducing "Lettee" - My Wife's idea of a compromise from the dog's real name I picked. Sometimes compromise can be a good thing:yes:

coles
thats awesome! congrats. Ive been wanting to get another dog for a long time now. I have an old yellow lab and i think her kidneys are failing also. but my only problem is that i live in missoula and i am having a hard time findin an apartment that will let me have a dog. all the places ive found that allows dogs says they have to be at least 6 months to a year old. which is understandable but the only dogs i can find around here are from the shelter and i want a pure bred lab pup that i can do what i want with and train how i want. GWSmith
I hope so as well....I know she'll be spoiled living here! If anyone has ever heard the "Snuffing" of a hound when they've found a scent on the ground you know how good it sounded when I heard it again this afternoon when I walked her. She needs some training yet but she does listen and stays when told until she's released. It should not take too long to get her trained the rest of the way. Probably a great thing, knowing how much Hounds like to run, was that she'll be having a microchip implanted as part of the agreement in the adoption process. Hopefully we never have to find out if it works but it nice to know it's there just incase.

OJR
We had a beagle for over 13 years and she was the greatest pet a person could ever ask for! She has been gone for several years now, but I think of her often. Good looking dog and I am sure you will enjoy her!

There's an old line that says "Dogs must think were the greatest hunters in the world, we leave for one hour and come back with beef, pork, chicken...". Congrats again.
