Guest RJK
Where can I find information about 3D shoots with prize money? I saw this episode of Buckmasters awhile back and they were at the Buckmasters Classic shoot some where down south, anyway I thought I heard them say the winner got $30,000. I may be wrong but if that's true how this archery thinig could realy start to pay off.
VtBowhunter
Re: Money shoots Trust me, RJK, there's a lot that goes into getting to that level. Years of shooting in public 3D shoots, then you have to start placing consistantly in the IBO shoots (open to the public in most areas) just to get recognized for sponsorship to the big show, then there's all the time spent traveling everywhere to the "money" shoots with no guarentee that you'll win any money. I wish you all the luck if you choose to try......I'm currently preparing to enter a few money deals around here and it's more work then I thought, LMAO. Tony
Re: Money shoots RJK your right in the hotbed of IBO and ASA tournys .. they are money shoots for the IBO but the ASA is pure money shoots.. but be warned there are a lot of really good shooters in both groups.. have you heard of the Heartland Triple Crown ? you shoot in Omaha , St Joe Missouri and Pella Iowa . its a 3 tourny shoot with the overall champ getting trophies.. its also an IBO worlds qualifier.. i shot the Bowhunter class last year and i finished 4th over all for my first time shooting it... i shot in an ASA in Metropolis Illinois 2 years ago and i had a great time..i finished in 15th place and won 50 bucks.. i shot the Bow Novice class because i was new to 3D then...there are many differant classes to try but the competition gets a lot stiffer the higher up in class you go.. you could try 3D shoots.com they should have a listing of money shoots in your area... maybe i will see you in Omaha this summer..
