I would have to say though that I personally am not a midwesterner that wants to go to Texas for Whitetails. We have some of the best there is to offer here. The folks I know around here like to go to Texas for exotics.

I just find it funny that most everywhere you ask someone whats to come Hunt Texas and most of us would like to Hunt other places. I guess its just the way it is pretty much. fly
Looks like you got a couple with double white patches. Pretty rare around IL. About one out of every 20-30 deer I see have one. Congratulations! As for myself, I'd love to mix things up and hunt deer in Texas. It's always nice to get a change of scenery. The issue for me is money! So for deer and Eastern Turkey's I'll stay in IL.

Adjam5
My deer here in NYS are almost 2x the body size of Texas deer and I want to hunt Texas again and again because of the great game management plans that Texas practices. Those are some nice bucks there Jared. I have hunted the Kerrville hill country and the Trans Pecos area in Iraan, a 40,000 acre ranch. Loved every second of it. Hey if you want to swap hunts, come on up to NY and dress warm :clown:
