Chrud
This guy is something else. Another "deadline" will pass and he hasn't made a decision. He seems a little unsure as to what to do. He'll have the Vikings going into training camp in limbo with no idea as to who their QB may or may not be. And if for some reason he decides to stay retired, he'll have torn apart the Minnesota Vikings without ever suiting up for them. All their big stars have been calling and texting Brent to come play for Minnesota. What message does that send their current QB's, especially if Brent stands up Minnesota and decides not to play for them. Now you have a QB who feels unwanted and untrusted by his teammates. Congrats Minnesota. This DB is now your problem.:hammer1:
layin on the smackdown
Favre is like a bad fart that just won't go away... Seriously Brett, get over yourself and enjoy your retirement...don't you get it? Your washed up...
Stone Cold
Brett is one of the best but he may be out of his prime. He has the receiver power if he does go there. I have not seen anything official yet but if he does play you will see that he will be one of the top QB's this year. As to Jackson he should just pack his cry baby butt up and go play for CFL! Chrud
Matt you post that as if you sound surprised. Yes sir. I'm still surprised that some people still think that ding-a-ling is in the right. He used NYJ. He set back an entire franchise a few years just so he could get his way. Is that a little selfish? Anyone who can't see that is totally blind to the situation. Don't go away mad Favre....JUST GO AWAY. Haven't you learned...:nono: Just imagine if a scenario played out where Tom Brady hurts his knee again and the world class Pats are looking for a QB...muhahahahaha, man I hope that happens. Could you imagine Favre's media circus then?
Tominator
Agree with my buddy Eric here. This dude is like the Jason dude in the horror movie. Just when you think he's dead, BOOM up he pops from the swamp or something. He's not done. He'll be back. In fact, I'll guarantee it like I did Paloshallowramalamadingdong's retirement. (which, BTW, this will be his last year, 2009, guarantee)

Chrud
He's not done. He'll be back. Exactly. As soon as training camp is almost over and there is only a game or two left in the preseason, he'll be back. Most likely with Minnesota. It'll be like Green Bay all over again, he'll show up and demand the team undo all the off-season work so he can be the starter. We haven't heard the last from this clown. Let Brett be, He's the best that ever played and I will always support him.

Let Brett be, He's the best that ever played and I will always support him. What?! He only won one Super Bowl. That puts him in the same class as Trent Dilfer. Favre had great individual stats, but as a team player it appears there was a lot to be desired. Best ever? Favre is no Tom Brady. Heck, he isn't even a Ben Doubleangrywhopper.:hammer1:
Casey
I have liked Farve for a long time, but I don't agree with the Vikings, giving him the starting job right off the bat. I mean Jackson, and Rosalenhause (sp?) been battling for it, then all of a sudden they dont get it because of someone new. Even though Farve is a hall of fame player, I think he needs to earn the starting position.

I justed used Ben as an example as a multi-time Super Bowl champion. All Brent's individual records are nice, but he only "helped" Green Bay get to the NFC title game four (maybe five) times and only "closed the deal" once. He is a far cry from the greatest ever. Step away from the stat pages on your fantasy mock draft site DB. Turn on the TV, pop in a DVD of the Super Bowl and tell me how the Steeler defense contributed to Ben putting on a top 3 all time drive to win another Super Bowl. Also, the Steelers had one of the worst running games in the league last year. Look those stats up.
