camoman1
I plan on buying a Alpha Max in the next few weeks. I am not really up to date on all the new toys that go on the new bows. I found the thread about the bow sights and got some good ideas from that, but I was hoping you guys/gals could give some direction as to which rests out there are good ones. Im thinking I would like to get a drop away but I dont know which ones are better than others or if a drop away isnt maybe the way to go??? I'll be using Gold Tips in case that matters Thanks in advance:)
BowJoe
Me personally, I think you can't go wrong with a whisker biscuit if you're going to shoot blazers with a helical. If, however, you would like to have more accuracy and less to deal with as far as fletching your arrows and such, you can't miss with a Rip Cord or a QAD Ultra Rest when shooting F.O.B.'s. Go to www.starrflight.com. Now's the time to decide if you want to try F.O.B.'s and you'll never be sorry for it. Good Luck!!
redkneck
My biscuit's been good to me with blazer vanes. I dont doubt a drop away would improve some things in the way of accuracy, but I have no complaints with mine.

camoman1
Thanks for the info guys, I really appreciate it. Now I can go check out a few of these instead of walking into it blindly. Thanks again!
Shaun_300
I personally like the whisker biscuits too. I've never tried anything else though, so maybe I'm missing out with the drop aways. I've always had good luck with the biscuits and never had a reason to switch.

bluelund79
Switched from WB to a QAD. Won't turn back from a drop away at all. The fun part is putting the toy together! Post some pics when you get it...Eric

Turkeygirl
I actually have used a NAP Quicktune 1000 prong rest up until yesterday...I went and had a 2009 Trophy Ridge Sure shot WB put on....it'll ben ice to not have to sit in my stand, holding the arrow with my finger on the prongs..... Hope to get out and shoot this week maybe

I've threatened to get a drop-away for the last few years. But I always have a hard time fixing what ain't busted.
Tink
Hostage ProThe Hostage Pro is better than the WB as it has three brushes that hold the shaft with zero vane contact Its a the Bomb 12 FPS more speed and no stinking strings to get caught up in the brush You can fine tune it as the red brushes slide up and down even Parker is putting them on all thier bows TINK
pse arhcer
I second the Hostage rest. Don't think I'll shoot anything else. As stated, less drag, and less chance of interference from anything.
tbone7213
Had a biscuit and liked it. Now I have a QAD and I love it!!!!!
Orion_70
I like the prong rests myself. I find them very accurate and as long as your draw is smooth, no issues
