TreeStandBowHunter
I have always wondered this. How long before you guys change your release. I have had my Tru-Ball for about year and half now. That may not seem long but I did a lot of shooting in that year and a half though too. I keep wondering when I am going to pull back and the release is going to snap. Should I be worried? What should you look for?...as far as a chance of it snapping on the draw! Awaiting your answers....
buckbuster11
Re: Releases...how long until they break Good question, I was wondering if I should do the same. I shot a cheap brand one for about 2 years and now I'm getting close to year 4 with my tru-fire. I havent had any problems yet.....knock on wood. tedicast
Re: Releases...how long until they break I have been shooting my Winn Free Flight for 10 years now. Still going strong. I did buy a back up, but still haven't used it.
magnatecsteve
Re: Releases...how long until they break I have used my Scott Mongoose for about 8 years, and it still works great. I did however opt to buy a second release, a Scott Little Goose which is my primary release now, it's a little smaller and more comfortable to shoot. The old Mongoose is still very dependable as my back-up though, still works great!
ParsonsOutdoors
Re: Releases...how long until they break I've been shooting a Cobra Pro Caliper for 13 years now and still going strong. It hasn't really showed any signs of wear other than the sticker wearing off it and the black coloration rubbing off a bit. I was thinking of buying a new one, but then I thought...what the heck for? lol JP

dg
Re: Releases...how long until they break My Carters Big Kid 3D has been in my hand since 1995. It's acted up twice, but Mr Carter fixed it for nothing.
Leo
Re: Releases...how long until they break Been shooting a Fletchunter 14yrs and going strong. I have shot bows strung as high as 92 LBS with this release. I might get a Carter Two Shot later on though. It might be time If you are using a metal D-loop though I would worry about release wear.
