wtnhunt
Seems anymore it is feast or famine when it comes to rain, we either have flooding or droughts. We had a wet spring, but it is pretty dry here right now Don. Our ground in the bottom is still pretty wet on one side, afraid I am going to have to rent a trackhoe in the future to correct my drainage problem down there. No way I am putting my kubota down there right now, that swamp grass is over 6 foot tall, my luck I would drop in a hole full of water moccasins. These days with 105-110 heat indexes and no rain seems like it would be dry down there. I do know what you mean about the mud. The sweeps for the discs on my jd disc do help with the wet soil, but it still can get a little packed especially where there is any clay. Tominator
We finally got rain, but we're still behind I think. You really have to watch working land if it's too wet, especially if you have clay. You're basically making pottery if you work that stuff when it's too wet--stuff will be like concrete when it does finally dry out. Found out the hard way more than a few times with that.
