swohiodave
So, I have a CVA optima. I currently use that purple gorilla grease on the breech plug. stuff works GREAT. I never have any issues, the plug always comes right out. The problem is that the stuff is becoming harder and harder to find... does anyone know of any other grease that I can buy that works well? Hoosierbuck
I use grease from Knight and TC, although I know some guys swear by teflon tape, too. HB

quigleysharps4570
I use teflon tape on my touch hole liner for the flintlock...will work on that breech plug too.
GWSmith
I use grease from Knight and TC, although I know some guys swear by teflon tape, too. HB I'm one of them....super easy to remove, replace, and lasts for an afternoon of shooting at the range and the breech plug just unscrews right out afterwards! Why Use Grease, Gunk, or Goop of any kind...When You Dont Have Too??????
