Leo
Just called shovlers around here.My nephew is getting one mounted. It is a cool looking duck! All the ones I'd taken prior to this one were in "moulting" stage (not as pretty). Full Plumage phase shovelers are a lot harder to come by in some areas (especially where I hunted). Alisha
I like the way so many look it's hard to pick just ONE favorite. I would have to say my top 5 would be harlequin, old squaw, shoveler, common eider, and the skunk headed surf scoter. :clown:

Leo
This is a Mandarin Wood Duck from China. Too bad we don't have them to hunt here. Wish I had had a better camera when I took that picture about 20 years ago (yikes!) Of the ducks when can take here, I agree with Alisha, the Harlequin Duck is one I'd sure like to get. Beagleman78
To me a drake canvas back looks like "Old Time Duck Hunting" - But I really LOVE the looks of a drake Widgeon. I like the drake widgeon too, also not the purtyest but the drake blue and green wing teal. Deffinitly one of the hardest to bring down ,for me anyway. Zambo
I love the look of a big bull drake Canvasback. They look like the middle linebacker of ducks.
