cinch314
I dont know if his knees can hold up. I know he can provide a better more experience post player but the run and gun game I just dont see how he can keep up. I think he is on his last leg in his NBA career. Ohiobucks
It's a great thing! (if it was 1999......) :hammer1:
Tominator
It's a great thing! (if it was 1999......) :hammer1: Yep. Well, as if I care. Here's what will happen, Muggs muggsbow, tap it out in stone: Shaq shows up, talks the talk, toes the line, sits the bench for at least half the season with a toe injury. I like Shaq, and the Cavs do need a big man, but Shaq's too old.
craig mack
He is old but I believe he has an expiring contract after next year. To me I thinks its worth a shot.
muggs
Tom, they got him for Big Ben and Sasha Pavlovich and a 2nd round pick which is like a 7th rounder in the NFL...it's a no brainer. They basically got him for nothing. The Suns originally wanted Delonte West. I wouldn't have done that and apparently neither would Danny Ferry so they basically got the Suns to meet their demands. Nah Chris, he's hungry for a championship after watching Kobe get his 4th. If they match up with the Lakers in the Finals he'll give his all to stick it to Kobe too. The Lakers, Magic, and C's all have dominant inside games- and this is a direct response to that. Again, great move here. He'll start, play limited minutes (prob 25 a night) and that moves Big Z to the bench where he belongs and where he'll still be productive center. Diesel punks Dwight Howard when he plays him too. They still need a longer guard on the perimeter. Gerald Wallace is the guy I want to see them get but i don't know if he'll be available and I'm not sure why the Bobcats would give him up. They're not done though I'm sure. I expect another deal tonight, but they have to resign Varejo at all costs. Plus, Shaq's contract is up after this year so it in no way impacts the Cavs ability to retain BronBron. They're going to be in great cap space You heard it hear first, LeBron resigns with the Cavs and they add Chris Bosh as well. Right that down. Oh, and we need to think up a new nickname for him now. I like The Big Recession, or maybe the Big Empty Steel Mill.
buckbuster11
Boy they are really going all out trying to keep Lebron in Cleveland huh?. Nice try, but it's not going to work.:laser:

muggs
Boy they are really going all out trying to keep Lebron in Cleveland huh?. Nice try, but it's not going to work.:laser: You wanna bet? You're underestimating his strong connection to Akron, dude loves that city more than anything else. What other MVP would choose to have his exceptance speech at his High School in his hometown? He also built a 30,000+ sq. ft in the suburbs of Akron complete with his own recording studio and the dude would be a global icon if he was playing in Iceland with more than often millions in endorsements, why does he have to leave? To go play for the hapless Knicks and team up with Larry freaking Hughes again? I think not. They're going all out to win a title babagonouush. Shaq Ds up Howard better than most and defending Howard was one of two major issues that the Cavs had exposed by the Magic (other is perimeter length). Actually, no one guards Howard better than Rasheed Wallace and I would not be surprised to see him sign with the Cavs on top of adding The Big Foreclosure.:laser: I think Anthony Parker would fit at SG too, moving D West to the 6th man role. VABuckSlayer
The Magic got better with Vince Carter too. It's going to be tough between a healthy Celtics team, Cavs, and Magic next season. Should be good to watch.... if you like pro basketball!!!
The_Kat
if lebron stays , he and shaq will take the title.
JimT
I think it is a great move. If Shag shows up in shape and ready to go, it will be a good fit for a couple seasons.
muggs
I bet my Cavs are going to add Charlie Vilanueva now too. Holy geez...that would be unreal.
