Well I'm supposed to get the splints taken out of my sinuses tomorrow.

I woke up this morning with blood dripping out my nose and it's quite apparent the splints have moved! It's not bleeding anymore but I pray this doesn't mean they'll have to go back in a fix again!

Leo I hope not for your sake bud. I didn't say anything in your original thread cause I didn't wanna be a stick in the mud, but the surgery you had is well known for MANY complications. Jennifer went to see a specialist about her sinuses and requested the surgery...her specialist informed us that it was a very complicated surgery that has man risks and problems are almost iminent after surgery. On top of all the BS you have to go through after the surgery, the results are minimal in most cases. I sure hope your the exception bud and this is nothing more than a little healing bleeding. Let us know!

I really didn't have much choice Kat. The risk of more serious complications in the future were supposedly actually higher than the risks of the surgery. Because I had to wait so long for the surgery to get approved I actually got to experience it getting worse on it's own. So choosing not to do it would have been a big mistake.

The only plans I have currently for this summer is healing.

Hopefully I'll get some air through that honker after they take the splints out tomorrow. Have a feeling there's gonna be a lot of blood.

[at least it's not filled with mutant belly button lint!]

Well the sutures held like they were supposed to so no bad news today! Thank the Lord!

They pulled an orange slice sized splint out of each nostril this afternoon. These things were huge!

I now know what it feels like to birth fruit nasally! OOOWWW!

How ya feeling now bud?

WAY BETTER!!!

But as you might suspect... there have been... ahem... "afterbirths".

That's minor, I can deal with that. My nose actually works better now and it's not even finished healing. Didn't realize just how badly restricted it was.
