Jorden
So my grandpa hasnt been feeling well for the past few weeks. It first started after he, my dad and brother got back from a fishing trip. First we thought he was just tired from fishing so hard but he wasnt getting any better. So my grandma made him go to the doctor cause she thought it was swine flu. Well she just called me and told me that the doctor said it was Lymes Disease:(. Which doesnt really surprise me because he spends almost every waking moment working up on our land, and he is pulling ticks off him constantly, but that never even crossed my mind. Thank god the doctors tested for it. Please keep him in your prayers. I have been doing research on it but I dont know much about Lymes so if anyone can give me some input that would be much appreciated. Man I hate ticks:angry::2guns::chair:
The_Kat
Not good buddy, sorry to hear this. Prayers headed your grandfathers way.
Dawg
Hate to hear this about your gramps. Hope he gets to feeling better. Lymes is very treatable if it's caught early enough. I have a friend who has Lymes and has had a long and hard battle with it (physical and mental) for many years because it wasn't detected early enough. Again, hoping for the best for your grandpa. Ruff
Prayers out to Grampa. It's not that big a deal if caught fairly early. I got the bulls eye rash this spring and went to the doctors and was put on antibiotics for 15 days and have been good to go since.

PotashRLS
I am terribly sorry to hear that:( If they caught it early he should be okay. Did he see a bite that swelled up and turned red with a bullseye? The more you read on Lyme Disease, the scarier it becomes:bummed: PM me if you want more info or to talk about it. I just got back from the doctor this afternoon for my Lyme. I have been flaring up again and feeling like crap. I have had over the past 1 1/2 years 75% of all the symptoms at one time or another. I unfortunately can relate to your Grandpa. God Bless Him. http://www.lymepa.org/Basics2007v1.2landscape.pdf Try this for information Edited July 1, 2009 by PotashRLS
