Rhino
You're taken vacation time to go to another state on your hunt of a lifetime "do it yourself" bowhunt. No guides...you're on your own. It's around 10:00 on the 3rd morning of your 6 day hunt. So far all you've seen are does, 1.5 and 2.5 year old bucks but from the size of the rubs you've seen, you know there's some big bucks around. You've watched this buck come in cold trailing a doe. She passed by about 10 minutes ago. You figure if he hadn't broken off his right brow tine and right G2 he'd be real close to P&Y. Now he's walking by your treestand at 6 yards. Your call now.
Squirrelhunter91
Depending on how the weather is forecasted for the remaining 3 days of my hunt, I may or may not take the shot. I have nothing against going home empty handed but if the conditions were right I'd take this buck. 2nd red dot down would be my aiming point. dbHunterNY
Hunt of lifetime should yield a bigger buck (at least see one anyway). It's halfway through the hunt. I'd pass. Shot is pretty hard to mess up though with an experienced bowhunter.
wtnhunt
Depends I guess on where I am Al. Kansas or Montana and know something bigger is around with only being half way in I might take my chances and pass. No doubt that deer is a shooter here in the backyard. If he is stopped I am putting my top pin on yellow dot 2(second from the top). Should just miss the shoulder bone and get both lungs. hutchies
Soon as that leg come forward I let out a "mmmmmmannnnnnnt" and then I slide that Stinger Buzzcut between 2 red and 3 yellow........ Smoke City and backstraps for dinner...........
jm23494
Let him walk, if he is trailing does and coming in that close the rut is on and he has one thing on his mind. Chances are that there is a bigger one behind him. If I was to shoot it would be Yellow 2 (from the top) and he would be on the ground within a 100 yards of the stand double lunged.
KirkV
Let him gooooooooo
HunterLuke
If it was a "Hunt of a LIFETIME" I would probally let it walk, But if it was in the woods around the house I'd be aimin for the 2nd yellow one down from the top and let the Muzzy 3-blade do it's job. hutchies
I'm one of those guys that if it's in range then it's in trouble. Fawns and young bucks walk but I don't pass on good deer.
redkneck
Not a lifetime buck, but a yellow 3 would put some meat on the grill.
Dakota
Yellow 2 from the top. Dakota
Straight Shooter
Let him walk, if he doesn't meet my standards which he doesn't then he is on his merry way. Always a bigger one out there and he could be just behind this one.
Tominator
Back to skippers, eh Alan? I'll pass on this one.
Mirage
It would be yellow number 2 and I would take him !
Tom2008
Soon as that leg come forward I let out a "mmmmmmannnnnnnt" and then I slide that Stinger Buzzcut between 2 red and 3 yellow........ Smoke City and backstraps for dinner........... Exactly where I was thinking. Shooting on one of the red dots might cause a shoulder blade shot with his leg up. Rhino
Back to skippers, eh Alan? I'll pass on this one. Somehow I knew you'd say that. I'll make a special one that will tickle your fancy next time. BTW Chris...Obviously I passed him too. When he heard the beep from my camera at that short range he stopped and looked straight up at me so I snapped another picture of him looking right at me. It didn't bother him a bit. He went right back to trailing that doe. That Iowa buck was about 1.5" outside his ears. Saw him 2 other times before I made tag soup and went home. goodnottygy
Although he is not big enough, if I were aiming on this buck, it would be the 2nd yellow dot from the top, since it is a steep shot angle. It would put him down quickly.

Ethan Givan
I would let him go that early in the hunt. If I did shoot, id put it right between the 2nd red and 2nd yellow dots from the top.
Dawg
Let him gooooooooo Ditto. I would take the chance and see what the remainder of the hunt brought.
johnf
With a 6 day hunt I'd let him walk. Everyone who watches the outdoor channel knows that the biggest deer always come on the "last day of the hunt".
sskybnd
yea being i have a few more days left, id let him pass and hope a big boy would come by , but dont think he get a pass on the last day
