HunterLuke
What kind of stands do ya'll use to get the birds eye on some deer or whatever the game is you persue? Me and my brother split the money on a tree lounge(its the new lighter weight kind) but of course we have to split the stand, We also have numerouse shooting houses and ladder stands out throughout the woods and field edges with 1-2 hang on stands. Nothing can beat how comfortable that tree lounge is though.

HunterLuke
The next climber stand I buy 12-point will most defiantly be a Summit Viper! They're pretty nice, What kind of Summit do you own?
backwoods07
I had a Summit Viper SS back when I had to use climbers and it was the bee's knees. Of course, it was a $250 stand...But now a special forum member is the beneficiary
fly
I have a summit 14 lb. open shot and an older 30 lb. steel viper. I'd like to get a new 21 lb. viper, but probably not this year, money is tight. I really like the new open shot delux with a seat that folds up, mine doesn't. wtnhunt
For long sits, I really like my summit climber, very comfortable. I hunt from several different type stands though. Use ladder stands, hangons, climbers, and blinds.
johnf
Nothing can beat how comfortable that tree lounge is though. Unless you weigh it agaings the weight and ease of the summits.:hammer1: If I ever buy another stand it will be a Summit open shot for bow hunting. For now I'm staying with my Viper SS
Orion_70
I've owned countless climbers and tried most brands over the years. The two on top of the list are tree lounge and summit. For all day sits and places where I don't have to constantly pack in the stand, the tree lounge wins hands down. They are the most comfortable stand out there period. My summits run a close second in comfort, but win out in portability and ease of use. Very easy to pack in, set up, and pretty comfy. They are also a winner with bowhunting compared to the tree lounge. I also use lock ons for several locations and fixed elevated box blinds. Switchback29A1
I thought the climber i had was just fine..until i spent one afternoon in a summit. hyperflow
Summit 180 max here, I bought a lonewolf sit and climb last year thinking i was doing somthing good. It dosn't even come close to holding a candle to a summit. I sold it right away and bought another summit. If you plan on seating more then 30min do not buy a lonewolf. This is my thoughts, anybudy that dosn;t say summit is because they never tryed one.
Casey
www.gomuddy.com I like the Hunter Steel and the Archer Ladder Stand. Comfortable and silent. A deadly combo.
Adjam5
Summit Broadhead backpacker. Open front for bow shooting. Folds flat, sturdy, light and comfy too.
Flintlock1776
Since I own my hunting land, I've practically retired my climbers and hang ons. If you hunt the same spot often the climber will eventually take their toll on the tree. For ladders I use "The Choice" 2 Man ladder stands for room and comfort. I have a few tri-pods of various brands. I still have some hang on stands here and there on my land but I don't use them often, some not in the past year or more. I got into Double Bull blinds and really love that! Deer get super close! I have several climbers ( Ol Man, API, Summit) I think all the major brands are fine. Just depends on your budget, your property. I'm lucky I don't worry about tresspassers (I had the last one arrested. Word must be out not to mess with my place) but I understand some need climbers due to thieves etc. Good luck! GWSmith
I have a 2 person ladder stand from The Sportsmans Guide I believe the brand name it's called is "Guide Gear". It's probably the most comfortable stand I can sit in for an all day hunt...as long as it's setup properly. If the seat is level or even slightly leaning back a bit it's fine for all day. If it's leaning even the least bit forward it's only a few short hours before my feet hurt from the constant pressure. The other stand is an API Grand Slam Climber...not the most comfortable on the market but after a small modification to the sling seat it became much more tolerable for an all day event. High Country
A Warren&Sweet climbing stand (16#) for bowhunting or hunting on public land. An old model (45#) Tree Lounge for gun hunting during the rut on private land. Easy to stay in it all day long. Hunt generally 20-25 feet high.
