CrossBreed Holsters...

Well I purchased one.... I have wore it all week....and so far it is GREAT!!!!!

It only gets better, just keep oiling it. Did you get the cow or horse? I think my horse one is more comfortable than the cow, but I've had the horse one longer.

I try to wear it in the same spot everytime, that way the leather molds better.

I did a speed class last week and I was drawing faster than the guys with speed holsters. I pulled down the clips one notch so that the holster rides high on my belt line.

I use the NEATS oil, I only use it on the back, it worked really good on the horse holster. I used a small towel so as not to make a mess, and just started dabbing it on. The holster soaked it right up, so I just kept doing it until the back was all darkened, and then repeated every other day, for about a week or two.

That NEATS oil came with my work boots, so I didn't have to pay for it. I get a pair every year. I still have the other half bottle, I'll never use it, let me know if you have a hard time finding it I'll send you this one.

I dunno if it's the best but it really softened up my first one (horse) I've only had the cow for about 3 weeks and it's already starting to feel super soft.

I Google'd it and it's at the top on almost everyone's list.

I see that it's also used on saddles and baseball gloves.

Just call crossbreed and see what they say.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I'll chime in that I've worn a CrossBreed Supertuck almost daily since May 2008 and I love it!

Mine is cowhide, setup with max forward cant, and I wear it about five o'clock. It's far and away my favorite IWB holster, and a bit more comfortable for me than even my favorite OWB, a Wilderness Tactical Safepacker (also recommended if you're looking for a discrete OWB, btw).

I haven't ever oiled mine, it's just molded from use. I do sometimes do yardwork, hike, even jog a bit with it on, though, so that's helped with the molding process I suppose.

I agree I wear mine all the time now, it's by far the most comfortable one I own.. I have like 3-4 holsters that just sit in the dresser now. :) Sometimes I have to be carefull because I forget its there.

Has anybody on here compared a Supertuck holster to the Comtac M-tac holster? I'm trying to decide which one I want to order for my new gun. Also, if I eventually put CT lasergrips on my gun, would I have to order a new holster to fit over it? Or should i go ahead and order the holster designed for use with the lasergrips?

THe only comparing I did was online.....BOTH are very similar. And have great reviews.

The things I noticed and didn't care for on the ComTac was the clips..... I didn't like how the ComTac holster clips where placed to the ends with very little of the clip attached to the actual leather part of the holster...(If that makes sense..) The other thing was the clips are kinda small and I feared they might not support as well.

So because of those couple things I went with CrossBread...and I am so glad I did.

It also helped my decision when I learned I got a NRA discount and Crossbread holsters are hand made here in the great state of Missouri. :D:D

How exactly do you go about getting the NRA discount? Is it available to all NRA members? The crossbreed is already $10 cheaper than the M-Tac and if I can get a discount on that also, it's a no brainer which one to buy.
