4th party pics

Recommended Posts

I did take some pics of the pork I cooked on the smoker before putting it in and just after putting it in the smoker. Unfortunately when it came out everyone was starving and did not get any pics of it before we ate. Will try to get those pics uploaded tomorrow.

Pork I cooked yesterday turned out pretty good. Was so juicy it bubbled from the thermometer hole after removing it for several minutes. With just the wife and kids and I, we did have quite a bit of hickory smoked pork leftover, will try to get some pics today before we eat lunch.

Man the pork looks good.I feel like a democrat myself, posting about wanting pics and then not following through and getting any myself.I rained on me the whole time I was smokeing my ham yesterday,it was a wet and rough job keeping the smoker up to temp in the rain and I didnt want to get the camera out in it.I made a glaze out of brown suger, butter and honey to brush on top of it about 30 min before takeing it off the grill and used mulberry to smoke it with.Eveyone said it was good.

Dang William, I just can't grow bell pepper like that. Got some nice jalapeno and bannana but the bells just get the size of a small peach and that's about it. I'm no huge bell pepper fan, but like them in my beans, and a little in salad, but it's just aggravating that I cant make them look like the ones in the groc store. :bang:

Don't much care for bell peppers alone either. I will eat them in sandwhiches and fajitas and will also use them in beans, other than that they get used for salsa. I like the hot stuff better, cayennes and jalapenos.

Our pepper plants were doing really well this year. I did cut some manure(about 7 or 8 buckets in the loader worth) into the garden this year well before we planted. Hopefully the pepper plants will all recover ok from damage they had from the storms over the weekend.

You should try takeing some of those big bell peppers and stuffing them.I make mine with like a thick meat sauce and put layers of motzarella and riccata cheese in them, man they are tastey when drizzled whith extra virgin olive oil and baked in the oven for about an hour.

I'd have to say stuffed bell peppers are high up on my list. :eat:
