CodyCoyote
I shoot blazer vanes right now but im looking into fob instead of vanes, what is you take on these? Are the better or worse than the blazers? I might get a drop away rest before deer season I thought about fobs also. Thanks, Cody
The_Kat
Vanes work, why fix em? I have heard good things on fobs though. I love my blazers though.
okiedog
There are pros and cons for both... I have some FOB's laying around and they seem to shoot good. I shoot Blazers for 3D and feathers for hunting and I dont think I will change anytime soon.
Straight Shooter
I guess I'm partial to the blazer vanes because I use them, but the fob's require a drop away. If your going with that then it's up to you on whether you want the fob's or not. Personally I will stick with the Blazers and my WB. BowJoe
I love my F.O.B.'s. I won't say anything negative about Blazers though because only a fool would say that they shoot bad. Here's the skinny on my experiences. I had problems shooting Blazers whether it was a Whisker Biscuit or a drop away. I do know that I could have tuned my bow better to get the accuracy I know they are capable of. I ordered a dozen F.O.B.'s and a brand new half dozen arrows and started over on my bow with a new rest, sight and custom string. I had my bow tuned for the fobs and that simply meant clearance on my rest and re-sighting in my bow. I tweaked what I had to, used my new rangefinder, sighted in out to 50 yds. and drilled within 4 inches at that same range. I now never shoot at the same target because they are plastic and break when hit. I don't shoot at stumps or really hard surfaces for the same reason. I feel like I have a lot of accuracy and will only go back if Paul stops making fobs. One more bonus... no more paying somebody to fletch your arrows with the risk of human errors in fletching. I save money right off the bat. Plus, if you do break one, you can fix it in a matter of 3 seconds. Good luck and I hope I helped.
HunterLuke
If you were to shoot a deer with an arrow with the F.O.B's you couldn't get a complete pass through though could you, or would they pop off?

They pop off, once they come into contact with the deer. Which is kind of cool, because you will know where the deer was hit once you get out of your tree stand. But I will stick with my Blazers and WB.

I'm switching to blazers once I break/loose the rest of my arrows with the 4in. fletchings(8 of them). I sure like how the blazers fly.
