The_Kat
Just got back from the fireworks stand and spent $100 ( I didn't, Jenns Gma did). Got a nice lil family pack and some stuff for Jenn's cousins to play with today. Them things sure have went up since I was a kid....and it got me to wondering what you spend on fireworks if you buy them? Our neighbor is putting on a show tonight at 930 and they spent 20 Grand......yes thats $20,000!:laser:

Shaun_300
I've never bought fireworks, we always go to the fireworks show here in town or up at Gran's on Canada Day, they always put a good show on. 20 GRAND on fireworks?! Is the guy a billionaire or something?

fly
Zero this year. In the past I have crossed the river to Missouri and bought some. In IL. only the sparklers, smoke bombs, snap-n-pops and other stuff like that is legal. I think the most I ever spent was about 60 dollars. birdhunter39
zero to $20.00 , the money is spent on dove shotgun shells instead and dove decoys
Flintlock1776
Zero. We get enough calls and I am glad I only do FD duty; what the EMS guys have to deal with is ugly especially when people blow off parts of their hands and such. Watch a place where the Pros do it. Better show, safer.

wtnhunt
Nothing this year. Most we ever spent was a couple hundred dollars.
BowJoe
I've spend a $100 in the past but nothing this year. If you get caught with that in a Big Truck, you get in Big Trouble. Not something worth losing my license or job over. I'll buy them occasionally but only if I'm in my own car.
redkneck
I usually spend about 50 bucks or so. Personally I wouldnt even spend that much if it wasnt for the kids. Fireworks for kids are like a drug addiction, just cant get enough! I bet you my kids could go watch every fuse light over at Kyle's neighbors house and when they were done, they'd still want to stop and get some more on the way home!:laser: A friend that I hunt with spends around a grand or more every christmas. He sure doesn't have that kind of money, but about 4 in his family put the $ together and make a run to chattanooga or somewhere to get em wholesale. Just a tradition they have. Ohiobucks
I spent about $120 today for a few fireworks to take to Chris' tonight and go with his $270 worth.
backwoods07
It's illegal around here, and in our small town, if you have anything worth buying the cops will shut you down with a stern warning. We don't bother any more. We used to spend $300-$500 easily.
swohiodave
0 here in ohio.... not worth getting caught with them here.
lil hunter
I would've loved to go out and spend a couple hundred bucks on fireworks for tonight. Unfortunately I had to work all night, and didn't have time to light 'em anyway. I jus climbed on the roof of pizza hut and watched the city's show that was going on downtown. It's been my ritual for 3 years now...
Strut10
Nothing. I'll spend $10 for gas and go somewhere to watch $10,000 worth being put off.

Yep, we had a pretty good show last night. I think we need a new lighter next year Tom; Joe was too slow last night.
