KirkV
Well you guy's finally hit my addiction. I have a party on the 11th and fry around 600 bluegill filets, we have around 80-90 people come over. Everyone puts money in a kitty and that is spent the next year on fireworks. I will clarify I have a guy at the party that is licensed to shoot fireworks and we have a permit from the county signed off on by the local fire dept. as well. With all of that said................$1500 this year. I know call us all nuts but it is done by a proffesional guy with racks built for them and well away from everybody. It is really a ball, but then again I am just a big kid!
jesse8953
$0 this year.I have spent about $100 on them in the past. When I come home from mom's house I stop and get them at charleston missouri at boomland. You can buy fireworks in ohio, but it is illegal to shoot them off.:hammer1:How stupid is that:hammer2: Best show I have ever seen was at Norwalk Ohio. They do $100,000 in 20 min. at the night under fire drag race held the first weekend in august. Not to mention the jet cars and the peterbuilt truck that has 3 jets on it and does 215m.p.h.That is in a 1/4 mile. JimT
They are illegal here but easy to get, so I have been told. You can buy them next door in NH legally though.
hutchies
I spent $38 last night for the kids. Normally we go watch the Lodge and Choctaw's fireworks. Between those 2 shows we probably see 50,000 go up in smoke.
MCH
I would wager that if that surgeon spent 20 grand on fireworks, either he got jipped or he's got the biggest show in the state of Oklahoma, Kyle. My bank pays for the fireworks for the city of Idabel and we spent a little over 8 grand and the guys that shoot the fireworks off said that it was a very big shoot. Even the Choctaws don't spend much more than that. As for personally, I usually spend in the neighborhood of 200 or so.
coles
no telling how much my little sister spent here. My youngest brother drove up from louisiana with our god father and they stopped on a reservation in Wyoming and spent about $500. My lil sister spent alot and to top it off she also won a package worth almost $200 in a drawing that a fireworks stand puts on here. I didnt spend a cent of my own money on them. i just lit off some of my brothers.

MCH
I would hate to see Choctaw's bill cause they do fireworks shows all over the choctaw nation. There show here used to last almost an hour. The guy's that shot ours also shoot a few of the Indian's. They average between 7,500 and 10 grand. Before doing ours they asked how long I wanted them to drag it out. Said they could make it last between 30 minutes and an hour.
mike
Well kevin i don't know who is shooting yours off but we watched them in clear lake last night and there was constantly 4 or so going off at any given time for a half hour or so and they blew 50 grand worth. My father in law is a big wig in the lions club and they are the big fund raisers for the show
Chrud
The main sponsor on the car I pit for is Fire-Up Fireworks. They put one on heck of a show Friday night after the races at the track. It was 25 minutes of non-stop fireworks. We didn't buy any. Had the great show at the track Friday night and we could see three shows from three different towns at my brother's house on Saturday. At any given time there was 4 going off at a time. I helped them set up the frames and there were several different sizes, largest being six inches. Maybe the fireworks that the lions club shot were larger, I don't know. But I do know, that there would've been no way they could've fit 50 grand worth of our fireworks into a 30 to 45 minute show. I bet it is the size of them. I think our little town of 7500 people shoot off like 15 grand a year and they last about a half hour too.
