RangerClay
What a shame. I wasn't a fan but a sure respected his talent. I figured him to be a shoe-in for Canton.

wtnhunt
Was not a fan of McNair with the dui's and other troubles that seemed to just go away because of who he was. Maybe its just me, but seemed McNair and some of those around him got out of trouble in Nashville that most anyone else would have spent time in jail for. Sad to see anyone lose their life and sorry to hear about it, but if being totally honest here some of these athletes need brought back down to earth. Guessing from what reports I have read that the murder of McNair and this woman were probably not a random act, hope the person responsible is caught and punished. The woman had just gotten a dui, she was not drunk but instead high. Seemed to be a pattern with McNair and those around him of substance use and driving. Heavy Metal
Well, it's looking like the person responsible is the 20 year old girl friend he'd been vacationing with the last few months, also dead at the scene. Murder/suicide. Steve was shot 4 times...her once in the head. The worst part is his wife had no idea about the affair AND her husband is dead. I feel horrible for her and their 4 boys. Prayers!!! Flintlock1776
Wasn't he married at the time?
dogdoc
Wasn't he married at the time? I believe he was. If would have been home with his wife and kids he'd probably be alive right now.
mathews4life
Guess he was a player in more than one way. Should have been home with his family. Still is a great loss. I feel for his family having to live w/ the effects of his stupidity...but i'm sure like anything else there is two side to every story. Wasn't really a big fan of him either but he was a very talented and respected athlete. Sad to see him go that way
Casey
He was a tough player, no doubt very sad. I agree with William though, these players need to realize that they are human as well and needs to come down off their high horse.
