jared264mag
Alright I am what I call okay about it. I was within a inch of the buck I killed this year. We got this pic from our game cam in Brownwood Texas. Now it was from 08 and we didn't kill the buck and we don't have the lease anymore. I was just lookin to see who all had a guess and who tries it or does it in the field and how close ya get!
wtnhunt
You have any pics out of velvet? That right g-4 probably did not grow anymore. Would guess that deer probably made the mid to upper 140's, possibly the 150 mark, but hard to say while still in velvet. Mass looks heavier with the velvet. Rhino
I'd say that buck is in the 135 class range, 140 tops. Great brow tines and nice inside spread but he appears to lack tine length on his 2's and 3's to push him over the 140 mark. I don't ever bother trying to put an exact score number on a deer in the field. I just try to estimate the approximate score range of deer on the hoof especially if they are mature. Texan_Til_I_Die
Good deer for the Brownwood area. Velvet pics can be deceiving, but I'd score him at 130 - 135 gross. Net would be around 125.
texastrophies
I came up just shy of 120. No matter what the score, it is a nice buck.

KirkV
You southern boy's and those small bodied deer throw me way off. I am too used to comparing horns to the central Illinois deer. But a guess would be 130-
Strut10
135" - 140"
Zambo
You southern boy's and those small bodied deer throw me way off. I am too used to comparing horns to the central Illinois deer. But a guess would be 130-135 Body size will make a bucks rack look smaller or larger. KirkV makes a good point. I do know that there are large body bucks down south as well as smaller body sizes. Also velvet makes the rack appear larger. I think scoring bucks this early is real tough. However it is still a lot of fun to guess...... I think he's about 125. Tom2008
He is going to have some good deduction because of that missing G4. I'm going to say 130.

treeinwalker
no pics out of velvet I had him in the High 130's maybe up to 140. My guess was 139 before I even scrolled down at all. Looks like it's a consensus????
