soonerman22
Probably could of had some experience if the draw would have worked out right....guess I will just have to settle for CO Elk and Mulies. May have to go to KS too and pay you back. Good luck, dont settle for anything under 150".
PremiumBeef
Probably one of the best hunts you could draw any where in the nation. I grew up about 35 miles from the refuge and hunted the border of it for 6 years. On the lease we had on the border we killed several deer that scored over 150" and one that had 21 points. The only friend I have which has drawn the inside the refuge hunt shot a 176" 13 point about 45 minutes into the 1st morning, he had passed 2 deer of similar size before taking the one he did because of its character. I have done some hiking in the refuge and have seen some deer that would score in the 170-180 range typical and one buck which I think would score around 230-250 NT. Be prepared to glass alot with good quality glass and be able to shoot 300 yards accurately if you want to maximize your opportunity. These mountain deer are tough, and I would not take a small caliber rifle in to hunt them. Shoot straight and tell me about the results. If you have any other questions which I might be able to answer just PM me.
