What caliber are you getting it in?

My TC ProHunter has a Bushnell Banner 3x9-40mm muzzleloading scope on it holds really nice. Nikon also makes a great muzzleloader scope with the notches in it for diffrent yardage I can't remember the name, sorry. But if it's for a rifle I can't help you much because all my rifles are topped with Bushnell scopes, no Nikons.

Check the Nikon BDC 250. Our the Ultimate Slam from Leupold. Bushnell also just came out with a muzzleloading scope with a DOA reticle. I can't make up my mind between the BDC 250 or the Ultimate Slam..i believe both are accurate with their reticles, just need to know which one gathers light better in low light situations.

Thanks for the links... but I want a Nikon. I trust them and wouldn't buy anything else. When it comes to accuracy and performance, I want the best and don't want the cheapest.

"Best" is subjective. "Cheapest" is not. To suggest that Leupold is inferior quality since you may be able to find one somewhere for a few bucks less is pretty silly. By thinking like that you should probably be getting a Leica, Swarovski, Schmidt & Bender, or other Euro glass. I am not knocking Nikon, I don't own any. I have Leupold. About a dozen of them. I trust them. When I scope my new Knight Long Range Hunter, it will be with a Leupold. You are free to state your preference for Nikon, and abide by it, but you should recognize that Leupold is not generally considered inferior.

If you want the best then pick a leupold. After you hunt with a leupold you wont want to hunt with anything else.

The bottom line is, you get what you pay for in most cases. If you don't need it right now, I would suggest saving your pennys and going with a Zeiss. I bought one for my .270WSM last year and could not believe what a difference a couple hundred bucks make. Just my $ .02... ; )

Im not sure if that coment was to say zeiss is better then leupold But i beg to differ, The leupold Vx-7L is on another level i think. Personaly thats what i shoot in 3.5X14-56mm

Not trying to argue here just puting my thoughts out there.

Randy was only giving me insights if I rather spend less on a scope. I found the one I want, will have it around October. Its a Omega from Nikon.

Hopfully the deer isn;t 2much of a blur in that POS scope. :hammer1:

Just kidding around, there allright i guesssss :D

I wouldn't start brand bashing on this forum, thats a sure way of getting the boot off this forum.

All in all, the only reason I will stick with Nikon is that I never had a problem with any Nikon product in the past, so why change? I have a small pair of binoculars that has been beated up, hit trees and rocks with it, hasn't gave me a problem. I trust them and have for years.

Easy casey...i'm pretty sure Nikon would catch the humor as well. I have to agree with Randy, Zeiss scopes are unreal. If they made a muzzleloader scope, id save up for one, but i don't think they do. My choices are between Nikon Omega or the Leoupold UltimateSlam. There both great scopes, don't need 300 yard BDC, so it all comes down to low light capability...and havent had enough input on either to make a decision.
