Casey
Easy casey...i'm pretty sure Nikon would catch the humor as well. quote] Call a product of their's a POS, I guess they would laugh about it too?? I'm just saying some mods would look at that and delete his post. Anyways, yeah Randy has a great point, Zeiss are great scopes, I have on on a .22 rifle. Very nice indeed. wtnhunt
Been pretty busy here, but I have been following this thread as best as I can. Thought the humor of the post in question was pretty apparent with the smileys. I did not take it as really being brand bashing when I looked, however Casey did ask about nikon scopes so maybe some constructive reasons for why one might consider them to be inferior might be more helpful rather than just calling the scopes pieces of crap. My opinion for what its worth is that for the money dollar for dollar it is hard to beat a nikon scope, we have several of them and never had a single issue with them. The monarch line is also pretty bright and clear. Brighter and crisper than comparably priced burris scopes.

I might have went to far, I apologize, but I just kind of thought the POS was out of context and I wasn't looking for any other brand than a Nikon. I do appreicate everyone's opinion on what to look for even if they weren't Nikons. Like I said I trust Nikon and until something happens I will use Nikon for a long time. hyperflow
I do not think nikon scopes are bad, i should of wrote "just kidding around" in capital letters so my point of it being a joke would of came across better. i apologize
GWSmith
Gawd.......You'd a thought someone asked which Bow was the best or something in here:clown::clown::clown: I'm sure my opinion will be met with some skepticism but it is just an "Opinion": It's going on a Muzzleloader...not something that will be asked to be crisp and clean at 500yds. In the lighting(Legally) that it will be asked to perform just about any scope will work. Since your shots are probably going to be around or sometimes well under 150yds seriously ask yourself if you need "The Best"....or are you willing to accept the fact that a fairly affordable scope would and could do the job. I have 3 different brands of scopes here and the one I spent the most money on went on the rifle that can shoot accurately the farthest distance. Nikon Prostaff 3x9x40 The next scope purchase for my ML will probably be a Barska with a lighted reticle. Sorry if I offended anyone but....Dead Deer Dont Lie. hunterbobb
You didn't mention the caliber but you can't go wrong with a Nikon Buckmaster 3 x 9. It's right in your price range.
