elkoholic
The buck with character in my last post strolled by this afternoon and let us take a few pictures from the deck. Here he is at twenty yards.
redkneck
I'm thinking I need to build a deck. He is going to be a unique deer when all that velvet falls off. Nice place you got there.

elkoholic
Wow. Think he'll stroll by come October? Yup! He'll be safe though. I could probably shoot a decent buck from the deck every year, but then I would not get to go hunting. I do not shoot deer on our property, but have been known to hunt the bordering Forest Service land. Every year I think about getting serious about bow hunting the ridge behind our house where the bucks tend to bed, but with several million acres of Forest Service land in the county I live in, I end up higher in the mountains.
