Re: Sold house, now moving, selling \"stuff\"

Rhino, I will pay for the mount, and if anyone has fears of this ( NO ONE HAS TO REPAY ME UNTIL I HAVE PAID NORM AND HE HAS RECIEVED THE MONEY )

As for storing the mount GW has offered but I'll leave that up to you guys to hash out, my only object is to get Norm all of the CASH we can raise for him, no one has to bid on the mount I will paypal Norm all that is raised here.

Re: Sold house, now moving, selling \"stuff\"

Its because of E-Bays automatic bidding on "Your" behalf. It keeps your maximum bid in reserve and only uses what it has to in the accomplishment of winning the bid for you.

In other words if that pottery was "Worth" a thousand dollars to you and you chose to bid that as your maximum bid...E-Bay would only use that portion of it needed to win the bid....if the bid was only $100 you would win and only have to pay $100 plus shipping.

Thats also why when you bid on an item and decide that you can go higher if you needed to and you bid more(for your maximum bid) your bid does not change to the higher amount until someone attempts to bid on it more than the original bid.

Sometimes you come away having to pay way less than you would be willing to spend.

Hope that helps explain it better wink.gif

See, this is exactly why I dont buy anything from ebay. Now I am really confused.

[/ QUOTE ]

Jim, I was the same way about it before just like you. I got a military mummy sleeping bag large size(in new shape) for around $14. I was willing to pay more than that and had that much in a reserve amount(Maximum Bid)...never had to!
