Double Drops
What's everyone's favorite muzzleloader bullet for whitetails?
HunterLuke
I'm not very experianced but for me a T/C 200grain Shockwave spire point with 2 pellets,100 grains, behind it. The deer don't run, they flop.
lil hunter
I shoot 300 grain Hornady SST sabots. Seem to work well for me.
Flintlock1776
I have not settled down on any particular brand yet. I have various brands, loaded up after Obama won
wtnhunt
Black diamond I hunt with sure likes the 240 grain xtp mags pushed with 120 grains of pyrodex. Killed quite a few with them with shots ranging from 80 to about 160 yards. Have not had a deer shot with that bullet/load go at all far. Tecumseh
So far my Endeaver shoots the 250 gr shockwave the best, this will be my first year hunting with it.
WhiteSmoke
Favorite bullet Hornady XTP/MAG if shooting max loads (150 grains). If not (something around 110-120 grains), use the Hornady HP/XTP. I shoot a T/C that has a tight bore and use the HPH 3-Petal sabot but just use the sabot that fits your bore best.
High Country
I prefer to shoot a 245 grain Powerbelt Aero over 100 grains of loose Pyrodex. Very good accuracy from my CVA Wolf, and is pretty efficient on the deer. My father prefers to shoot a 295 grain Powerbelt Aero over 120 grains of loose Pyrodex from his T/C Grayhawk sidelock. Seems to be very efficient as he has killed two 8 points, a 10 point, several does, and a 210 pound boar all with single shots without any going more than a couple dozen yards. PremiumBeef
I use a 200 Grain TC Shockwave, with 125 grains of 777 behind it. I have dropped 2 mature bucks with it, one was at 110 yards and one at about 85 yards.

FrontierGander
Same here. Everything from the 245gr powerbelt all the way up to the 405gr. 70 to 100gr pyrodex RS is normal for me.
Dakota
375 grain TC Maxi-Ball conicals backed by 100 grains of black powder = dead deer walking. Dakota
Indy-Travis
My gun (Encore) shoots the 250gr Shockwave and 240 gr Dead Center equally good, but I much prefer the Dead Center for performance on deer.
RangerClay
I don't shoot over 100 yards so 348 gr. Powerbelts for me I like big bullets!

elnor
My T/C Triumph shoots quite a few bullets from several manufacturers well, but the two best for loading ease for me are Powerbelt Platinum 270gr (killed four deer last year with these) and Barnes Spit-Fire T-EZ 250gr sabots (a new option I'll be hunting with some this fall). I use 100gr Triple 7 (2 pellets) for both bullets. Since I shoot open sights and take short range shots (usually 50 yards or less), the extra longer range performance of sabots aren't all that important to me. But I *love* the knockdown I've seen with Barnes TSX bullets in my 300WSM, so I decided to give their ML bullets a try this year, too.
