Truex jr. going to drive the napa, toyota car next year.Looks like I will be a full time Mark Martin fan now.I was raised with chevy and I will not route for a toyota.

You do realize that Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler haven't been 100% American for years now ,,, :hammer1: Truex is a very capable driver, why dump him as a favorite just because he will be be driving for a LABEL ...

And That Toyota (Tundra, Camry) are more American than the fore mentioned 3 automakers .. ;) And atleast haven't bailed on thier employee's like the so called BIG 3 ...

Enough said on my part .. :)

A little info ...

GEORGETOWN, KENTUCKY, (July 6, 2009) — You may not be aware, but the Toyota Camry is the most American-made car! That’s according to a recent study conducted by Cars.com. The study included factors such as sales, where the car is assembled, and its domestic content.

Toyota has grown its operations in the U.S. to the tune of a $17.4 billion investment. It also directly employs more than 35-thousand Americans and its U.S purchases have totaled $29.9 billion. To view the entire study, go to Cars.com.

My dad would roll over in his grave if I supported a toyota. He proudly worked at a G.M. foundry for 26 years.Like I said before, I was raised on chevy.

Ya, but it is sadley not the GM it used to be. I have a few favorite drivers and will root for them no matter what they drive. Plus, those cars are about as GM as I am a Sherpa.

My first choice would have been Mark Martin[even if he drove a ford] but when I got into watching nascar he was going to retire, so I picked Truex Jr. for my driver. Now that Martin is signed with Hendrick I will route for him, until he does retirer. Then I will make my mind up who to route for.I am not saying toyota is a bad company or they are not american.Anyway I can't stand Michael Waltrip, never have never will.

Ask Truex Jr, to ask Toyota to fix my radio in my 2008 Tundra. Its been replaced 3 times but never fixed.

Seems to me if the Dealership has replaced your radio 3 times and still isn't working ,, there's more than a radio problem happening ..

You would think that the dealership would have figured that out by now ... ;)

The radio in my father in-laws' Mustang became uncontrollable , and the dealership couldn't figure it out either, brought it to a certified radio installer and come to find out the radio harness was frayed and causing a short ..

Well Luke, the radio's volume quit working after two days of owning the truck. So I got it replaced with another one, then about 3 months after that, got replaced again. Now I got another one put in there and its still not fixed. Talked to the guy who sold me the truck and he said they have been having problems with them for a long time... I asked him why wasn't I told about this on purchasing the truck, he changed the subject. I got in a little argument with him. The truck doesn't seem to have much power either...Will buy a Chevy or Ford for now on! I told him he has lost my business!

Sounds like you were duped by a salesman on a bad truck ,,, samething can and has happened with Fords, Dodge, Chevy, or any other manufacturer, can't say I would blame Toyota for this one ...

You got a point, but I think they should make it right by looking into the problem and not try to cover it up by replacing the radio.

Sorry to get off topic guys.

Reutimman has 5 top tens ( I stand corrected ) with an avg finish of 14.2. Waltrip's team which is the team truex will run with and is the big picture has 1 top ten with an avg finish of 25.2.

Waltrip is washed up! Truex will do much better in that car and will probably help improve the entire team! I don't know where DEI goes from here. They will eventually fold up I think. Who's going to sponser that team if they can't get a top driver?

Truex jumped ship from a bad team to a worse one. Whens the last time you saw waltrip in the top 20, let alone the top 10?

I wouldn't say that. JPM is doing very well with EGR, but that is a dying team. Truex to MWR is an OK move. A driver can help a team a lot. Look what Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman have done at Stewart-Haas (which was a full-time team the last few years). Look what Kyle Busch has done with the 18 team. That was a pretty average team before Kyle Busch came over.

Ask Truex Jr, to ask Toyota to fix my radio in my 2008 Tundra. Its been replaced 3 times but never fixed.

First off...if its been back to the garage 3 times or more for the same issue...I believe it applies for the lemon law...might want to check into that.

Second...I have a $45,000 GMC thats been to the service garage 3 times for 3 different issues (truck 8 months old). Now my sunroof is leaking!

I kinda wish I would have looked into the Tundra a little more...however, I think this truck (my GMC) maybe on its way out...cut my losses and get something else!

Doesn't really matter what you like or drive...they all make some bad ones!

Back to the topic...I think Truex will do fine at Waltrips team. They (not counting Mikey) are competive for a fairly new team. The 00 runs better than the DEI cars...Mikey just isn't good...put Truex in that car...they'll be better off.
