Adjam5
I was up at our country house yesterday and lo and behold...another woodchuck in the yard. I love those V max bullets:kiss:. There is never an exit wound and maximum energy transfer that really anchors these varmints well. A .22 mag is the right medicine;). I have been on a roll, I think this is the 3rd in as many weeks. A Dead red to the V max.

Jeramie
Fun to shoot! I like those V-Max too. I handload them and make some great, hot loads.
Adjam5
Thanks guys... That rifle I got for $50 on the used rack at Gander Mtn! Without the scope of course. That Rossi single shot is MOA with those V Max loads.

Hoosierbuck
I love the .22 mag, too. I have an NEF in .17 HMR, but I have a new Savage 93 en route. Sold my old .22 mag and upgrading to the Savage. It's a great round on chucks, rabbits, squirrels, feral cats, even coons and fox. Adjam5
I slammed another one today. Not as big as the last one...but that V Max works like a charm. Again no exit hole and it was anchored to the ground at the shot. The 4th one in 4 weeks. How nice of the varmints to cooperate and appear on weekends for me:clown:

Ethan Givan
I wish we had some groundhogs on our farm. My grandpa cleaned them out several years ago and we havnt had any since. They can provide some fun during the summer.

They can provide some fun during the summer. Yes they can be fun shootin them for off season fun, but you don't want 'em around your land...they are destructive critters and your Gramps did the right thing. Cows can break their legs in the holes they dig and they can decimate a garden if given the opportunity. My son Joe has quite a few bow kill chucks defending our garden, I however...like the .22mag
Ethan Givan
Yeah I know they can be destructive but I still wouldnt mind having a couple around. As long as they stayed back in the hayfields they wouldnt be too much of a problem.

jesse8953
Remington v-max work great in my .17HMR. Another proven product from Remington.
Squirrelhunter91
jesse.... Hornady makes the V-Max bullet
Adjam5
jesse.... Hornady makes the V-Max bullet You are correct Joe, BUT....Remington loaded this cartridge since it being a rimfire, and while Vmax gets the projectile credit, Remington loaded the case with the proper propellant and matched it perfectly with the bullet.
