Daily Verses

The favorite verses thread has given me an idea for a daily verse thread. Anyone can contribute by adding a verse. Hopefully some will get the lift that they need by reading one of these verses or inspire others to learn about God's wonderful love and grace.

John 4:10

Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Here is another verse that I really enjoy.

2 Samuel 22:3

The God of my rock; in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvations, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence.

I don't know what it is but I am feeling compelled to post in this room and hopefully that I can help someone by my posts.

The verse I chose for today is:

Ephesians 2:8

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

I have a wonderful story to tell you all that just warmed my heart. I was driving home with three of my younger cousins after taking them fishing. They are ages 9, 10, and 12. Well the 10 year old got Baptised here recently and they were talking about Baptism and how you got Baptised. The 12 year old asked how you got Baptised. I was sitting in the front of the truck pretending I wasn't listening, while they were in the back seat talking. Well the 9 year old tells the 12 year old that you can't just get Baptised. You have to know God. The 10 year old then says you have love God with all you heart and accept his love. They then went on to tell the 12 year old how to be saved and Baptised. It just brought a smile to my face that these young kids knew God so well.
