Casey
I took a trip down through some bottoms last night to look around at a honey hole I hunt on. I sprayed down pretty good, but it seemed like it attracted the ticks more than it kept them off. I was up until 2:00am looking around my body to see if I got them off. Got up this morning and pulled 4 more off...... Just found 2 that well really small!! I hate the summer!!!!!!
Jeramie
They havent been bad here at all this year. Typically we are over ran but I have only found a few on me this year. Im guessing it is the heat.
camoman1
Thats what turkey season was like for me...they are starting to become scarce now, havent found one on me or the dog in a while.
dogdoc
I went to a retriever trial earlier this summer for 3 days. I ended up pulling a total of 65 ticks off me--and I was also sprayed down really good with deep woods off. The best prevention is to spray your clothes down with permethrin and then let dry. Works much better than Off. BTW--my dogs were covered with frontline and while i had a total of 65 ticks I did not find any on my dogs. Gator
I know ticks are bad in my neck of the woods. I can't use Frontline on my dogs, as they can't stay out of water, and I'm not gonna leave them inside. I just spray them down with a couple different sprays about once a week, that seems to help

sskybnd
there pretty bad here also, dont mind the big ones that much, easy to see and get off, but the seed ticks can over run you in a minute, when i go to the woods and get home got to take the clothes off at the back door and than they go straight to the washer, and i go straight to the shower, nothing worse than trying to sleep and feel something crawling on you. PotashRLS
Keep a good eye on your body looking for a bite site. If you see a spot/rash/bullseye or begin to feel like crap/fluish...........see a doctor ASAP!!!! Trust Me:yes:

High Country
I am still on antibiotics for one that partially embedded itself in my back...my wife extracted it (or at least part of it), then I had it checked by my MD. I picked that one up after work in my backyard garden (only 4 ten foot boxes, 3 planters, and a bed of pumpkins). They have been bad. When in the woods, I spray down in DeepWoods OFF. It has generally worked well for me.
