It's called scatting. There were a few notes there that my hands didn't want to play what my lips were scatting. Yeah, the music just kinda takes control. The other one will be uploaded in a few minutes. Dakota

hammerforged
I'm JEALOUS! You go Dakota, I really like the second one better than the first one that Austin has a wonderfully mellow sound.

Dakota
I'm JEALOUS! You go Dakota, I really like the second one better than the first one that Austin has a wonderfully mellow sound. I know what you mean. The difference is in the style of the song, the type of blues, if you will. The first one was kind of a groovy minor. I figured I'd go a little Santana and use a rock style effect with the Strat. The second one was a soulful slow blues and I figured a cleaner "Clapton" effect would work a lot better through that Austin. I love both styles though! Thanks all! As far as the expressions go, I just really get into the music when I play and just lose control as I let the music consume me. Whatever that means. I used to go see Leigh Ashford a lot when I was younger, (a Toronto group) and used to love watching the Lead guitarist "Get into his Music". What a face contortionist he was. I loved it. :) Leigh Ashford : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8TA5cTk_Po http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTpZmNP2NdM Edited July 15, 2009 by buckee
