MichiganHunter
Hey this is my first four attempts at making some pike flies, I head to Canada on friday so I am hoping to have about 15 tied before I go. Let me know what you think pro or con.....gold red and white are the best colors I've used on the lake in the past for pike with hard baits. camoman1
I am far from a fly expert...but those look pretty awesome to me!! Nice job and good luck up there!
woolybear
Flies look great. Overall size looks good but hook size looks too small to me. How big are they and what size hook?
MichiganHunter
the hooks are number 3/0 wide gap and 2/0 long shank offset worm hooks, they were the best I could find at gander MTN, I dont know what else I could of used. GWSmith
Very Nice...Good Luck You might want to tie more than one of each though...LOL Gauranteed the one getting eaten the most will get lost or torn up.
Leo
I like the one in the second picture the best. If you can find some red hooks, tie some up with those too.

Shaun_300
Cool! Nice looking rigs there, what lake are you fishing in?
Strut10
Good looking flies. Generally a northern will eat the thing lock, stock and barrel. So you shouldn't have trouble with the entire fly being too long for the hook. But if you're meat fishing or start having problems with short strikes, you may wanna tie in a lenght of 20 lb. mono with a stinger hook hanging on it. Strut10
If you have room on the trip, just take your vise and some materials. That way if you need to alter some flies or tie up a pattern that's hot, you're set.
MichiganHunter
I ended up catching about 10 pike on my flys over the week, the biggest was a 42in 18lber that is currently spending the next 5months at the taxidermist. but i did get three 9lbers and 6 between 2lbs and 6lbs

MichiganHunter
The third one in the four pics above was the winner, I tied it on when i got there and it held up the hole trip.
flyrod64
I've never tied flies for Pike except for wooly boogers on lead heads but those sure look good to me.
