Thankfully she did not break anything, still no fun getting skinned up. Bet she is back riding this evening, the girls have been either walking or riding bikes just about every evening. You know you should have pretended the pain was worse then it was so your ol' dad would have to take care of ya!

mrswtnhunt
Yeah, I'm glad she didn't get hurt worse too. I was coming down the hill a ways behind her. I saw her going down and couldn't get there fast enough.:stretcher: She hit first in the gravel then bounced onto the grass beside the driveway. I held pressure to the bleeding and thankfully only one of the cuts were very deep. The one on her knee was the worst. Although, I will say, she was a trooper. We got up and she still wanted to continue riding. We didn't go as far as we have been going. We only rode about a mile and a half. We have been going about 2 and a half miles at least 3 times a week. Been trying to get in shape for this Alaskan moose hunt.... WOOOHOOO! I think she will be recovered long before we head up there. She's pretty tough.:boxing:
VermontHunter
Glad to hear nothing was broken and that you're going to be OK ... THANK the good Lord above for MOMS .. I know your pain, I did this 2 weeks ago when I took a header on the pavement chasing a shoplifter .. My poor elbow ... My Knee ... My hand, which is severly sprained and keeping me from shooting my bow ... Heal up quick for that trip to Alaska ..

redkneck
Just yankin your chain, Luke. One of the worst wrecks I ever had was when I was a kid and my mother asked me to fix a flat on her ten speed. Well, I put on a tube and aired her up and decided to take it for a test spin (in cut-off jeans and nothing else). I got it wound out up the road and was going to kick my feet up on the fork up front and cruise. My stupid butt jams a big toe into the spokes and it broke seven spokes on the bottom of my toe before number 8 caught and threw me up and over the front of the bike. Front wheel was so warped it wouldnt even roll. So I had to drag the bike about a quarter mile back with a bloody foot and two bleeding hands and nose. Man a bike will kill you!!! :crutch:
wtnhunt
Man a bike will kill you!!! :crutch: Yep, had some pretty bad wrecks when I was a kid, both high speed and low speed. The worst when I broke my arm I was probably going less than 5 mph. Stupid freak accident resulted in a compound fracture. Both bones broken, one in two places. Could actually see inside my arm, the skin split on top. That was a bad deal with a week stay in the hospital as a result. Will never forget trying to see how fast I could go on the highway on my supergoose down hill wound out and having my chain break either. That one was pretty rough, slid on the pavement a ways before stopping, luckily nothing but cuts and scrapes and bruises and a feeling of embarassment from cars passing by. Had a long walk home pushing that bike. Remember those wrecks like they happened yesterday.
