redkneck Posted July 16, 2009 Report Share Posted July 16, 2009 Had a good 5 days on the coast. Did some fishing, caught a bunch of trash fish, a few small bluefish and an amberjack. Last afternoon of fishing right as I was getting ready to go, had one double my rod over. I was struggling to let my drag off when all of the sudden my spool went flying into a backlash. Fish took off and broke my line. Felt like a huge stingray. Did some snorkeling and had the crap scared out of me when about a 500lb sea turtle passed right under me. Tried to catch a ride, but those rascals can really scoot. All in all a great time but too much sand in places it don't need to be and glad to be back home.
