Casey
Thanks for the great question casey You are most certainly welcome. The real reason I asked is also to really get into your heads, because I am sure its very hard to get around esp, in the woods with logs to cross and creeks. I am sure some or most are very tired and beat up when they get home. So thats the real reason I wanted to know.

m gardner
It gives me incentive to keep trying. I stay in as good shape as possible year round so I can go hunting in the fall for deer and elk. The prognosis for me at age 42 was a wheelchair by age 50. I'm 57 now and still walking and work 3-4 days a week. You need something to do that will keep you fit as possible and you enjoy so much the physical and emotional pain doesn't matter. Norm Sauceman
Well, I have been in the hospital since Sunday morning. Had what I thought was a severe heart attack so we left church and headed over to the hospital. They are running all kinds of tests and keeping me really doped up and I also am wearing a nitro patch. Just say an extra prayer or two for me please. I will let you know when I know something or get out. Thanks I am at Cookeville Regional medical center in Cookeville, TN Room 413 Thanks in advance folks. Norm

Hoosierbuck
Hey- I just talked to Norm and he wanted me to let you all know that his heart checked out OK. They don't know what gave him his fit, but it wasn't the ticker. He sounded good and in good spirits, and he is getting to go home today. He said he asked the doctor point blank if this was going to interfere with his Alaska trip and the doc said not in the least. Happy to be a messenger of good news- HB

cinch314
Hope you get better Norm, my prayers are with you. Now for my answer to the question. It makes me feel alive and lets me know that I can still do somethings while other things are not possible. It also gives me the thrill of being outdoors in all of God's glorious wonder. I dont care if I am hurting or not, to me the outdoors in my sanctuary.

Beagleman78
Norm Norm Dont know you but I feel like I do, Im glad to hear your heart is not the problem and my prayers are with you. In answere to the post, I couldnt ever quit, I might as well not be here if I did. I am 56 and have hunted most of my life 52 years hunting . The feelings that I get out there are undescribable yes its alot harder now but it makes me appreciate life in the Outdoors even more. Its better then any medicene a Dr can perscribe and the best stress reliever there is. Also my talks with Jesus Christ are more less in his office making it more 1 on 1 ... I like it that way. beagleman78
