Turkeygirl
In about 24 hours, lol. In case ya'll didn't know, Art is bringing his daughter back for Returnee week here at camp....so he gets to see me in my official position! Dial-up here at camp is working so I've managed to stop in here quick to say hi. Camp is going well...kinda bugged out this week....no time off yet but I will be getting time off, have an EMT to cover for me finally. So far made 2 trips to the ER....the 2nd one being the most fun as one of our volunteers fell, came to me. Was feeling the shoulder and collar bone area, sure enough felt a deformity and a little pop when he moved it. Put his arm in a sling then an ace wrap to hold the arm against the body, went to ER and sure enough broken collar bone. But I got a high five from the RN there and a good job from the PA, then his parents called after they took him to his orthopedic surgeon and told me the surgeon said what I didn't kept the bone in perfect alignment....guess the Dr. was very happy...which made the parents happy. Got the volunteer back at camp this week in a sling...keeping him out of trouble Thought I'd share though:) The parents when they brought him back brought us cookies and I even got a copy of the x-rays:) Planning to get out of here Tuesday though and get my hair cut with mom! Then on some time off, we are going to go see this exhibit at a museum on the human body/anatomy. Oh yeah and mom wants to go on vacation to the ocean after camp so that might be happening....I'll look for a job sometime after camp ends but I'm planning on some time off prior to that. Hope all is well here!
