wtnhunt
well i been following one with the trail cam that i would really like to stick an arrow in, well seems he is coming around our minerals about once every 7-10 days, well i am not going to count my chickens before they hatch though, well i got a feeling this will be a tough deer to hunt, well if you follow along in the photo room you might have seen some pics i have posted, well thats all for now

Texan_Til_I_Die
I'm looking for something along these lines... But I'll probably end up with another "genetically challenged" management buck like I've shot the past 2 years...
wtnhunt
Don't let Willliam fool ya... He's got his sights on this one! Shhhh Randy,:taped: lol. Don't jinx me buddy. I am going to feel like a real dope if I get up there and miss. Got a month of archery hunting here and then the youth hunt weekend here before heading north to hunt with you. Bringing a cooler with me so hopefully maybe I can bring something(maybe some fresh backstraps) with me for us to munch on so we wont have to eat those hot dogs. Rhino
Shhhh Randy,:taped: lol. Don't jinx me buddy. I am going to feel like a real dope if I get up there and miss. I'm sure Randy wouldn't tell us if you did either. Missing is a part of bowhunting William. Sooner or later it happens to everybody and usually more than once too. As far as the original topic goes, just like the past few years I'm hunting for mature bucks (4 1/2 or older) along with some skin heads. It's really too early to tell for sure how a buck will fill out from TC pics down here yet. Antler shedding (March & April) and thus new antler growth starts later here. I've got 3 bucks so far that I'll keep track of with the TC's to see how they fill out. Started running the TC's a little over 2 weeks ago. Got a lot more places to cover before I set my mind to pursue certain bucks before the season opens. Here's the best one I've got a pic of so far. If he hangs around there (along with another one with good potential I caught here too), I've got a young bowhunter in mind that's never killed a buck with his bow that I'll put on this deer, even if it comes to having him hunt my stands. Sooner or later it happens to everybody and usually more than once too. LOL, nah Randy wouldn't tell. Yep, your right about misses for sure Alan, I missed a really nice mature tall 8 point back I think in 2002 with my bow, a little taller than the one in the pics below. Remember that hunt and the deer just like it was yesterday. Hoping this guy comes around in range during archery season. These from the 6th of this month, still a bit of growing to do. Stone Cold
I have big targets on TWO of my bucks out there. Here is the #1 target..... He is a twelve point and hope bigger! I have both sheds as you see and the pic of them in grass are an "As They Lay" photo. This one is MR. HIGHTOWER! His sheds found by farmer. Stone Cold
I think that would really be the icing on the cake if I got some trail camera pictures of the big boy this year and then shot him with my bow. I have yet to shoot a buck that I found a shed off of. That would be great that I found his sheds from last year and then put him on the wall this year. Casey
Judging by High Tower face, he's an old deer, maybe older than the first in the picture. It it was me I'd search for high tower and give the first buck another year. Just my opinion.

I'm sure Stone Cold knows how to judge them by looking at their face. SC, how long has these two bucks been around?? Got any idea how old they both are??
