Rechargeable batteries

Any recommendations on a brand. Just need them to run my personal digital cam in double A's. They'll be at room temperature for the most part untill hunting season.

Had a batch of Radio Shack batts that have been nothing but headaches from day one. Looking to upgrade to something that will hold a charge when not in use for a few days and not burn out at the first flash after that if the charge isn't refreshed fully.

Appreciate any advise.

If you can find duracell nimh batteries in 2650 mah, that would be what I would buy. Lowes or wal mart used to carry them here, now all they have here are the 2500 mah. Those duracells will last longer than most other batteries I have tried. If you are looking to buy bulk, might check out tenergy, they are very reasonably priced and they do ok, but not as good as the duracells.

I have had the same eight Rayovac AA and AAA rechargeables for over a year. Still take and hold their charge well. Use them in my camera, X-Box 360 controller, remotes and our weather station.

That's what I have now. Not happy with them at all from the start.

nimh? mah??

Never got too technical on batteries for around the home use?

With all the baby stuff here though, may be worth learning more about to be multi- functional as cinch mentioned.

I'll check them out closer.

Thanks all.

Have had several types of rechargeables, another thing you might want to keep in mind is that a good charger will make a difference in how long your batteries will last and in how well they perform. I just discharged a batch of old 2500 mah energizers that would not hold a charge for any length of time. Those batteries are back to performing almost as good as new. The little chargers that come with batteries serve their purpose, but are not always the best chargers for keeping your batteries to performing like they should.

What I like about the charger I have is that you can put AA's in it was well as 9 volt. My batteries have lasted well over a year and hold there charge pretty good. It is also get to have rechargeables for you kids toys. My daughter would break me in batteries if I didnt have the rechargeables.

Wooly, This is what I have for Rechargeables...

1800 mah AA

700 mah for AAA

Yeah if you look closely you'll recognize that it's a Radio Shack charger and batteries.

I know the charger I have completely discharges the batteries before it recharges them and they seem to work out quite well in my Wireless Headphones(AAA). I use the AAA in my wireless headphones but most of the time they get placed back on the charger stand for the headphones while still in the headphones after each use so they never get the chance to run out.

Nothing lasts for more than 3 days in my Digital Camera. Not the rechargeables AA or brand new alkaline AA.

The rechargeables work fine in my Digital Camera, if I take them out in-between uses, but they still do not last for the number of pictures with flash as the regular Alkaline batteries.

Thank you all for this insight... away I go for a new battery pack and charger.

Was beginning to feel naked walking the woods without my cam up to snuff.

So much I missed sharing with ya's in this down time. Nuff to make your head spin crazy in this down time if you seen what I seen and couldn't share it here.

Ain't the best cam, but I like to show you all what I see best I can, whenever I can.
