buckee
I'll be as honest as Honest Abe...The second pic makes it extremely hard to distinguish between a cat, dog or stuffed teddy bear...I can't see how anyone is claiming that is either by the second pic...Way too distorted/pilxelated. in the first pic, my first instinct was a coyote...however, when you look at it long enough, there is no tail whatsoever, and in either situation, cat or dog, a tail should be visible somewhere, unless it is a dog with a rat tail or stub. So, i have come to the conclusion that your buddy took a Rienhart Coyote target and set it up in the field, then took a picture of it. If any of you have ever shot at this target you will see the resemblance big time. There are no spaces between the legs, as if it is stuck in the ground by stakes... JMO When a Yote is standing relaxed, like that one is, it's tail hangs straight down between it's hind legs. I can make it out, but it not a great picture. Gator
No doubt in my mind, that's a yote or stray dog, but I'm leaning towards yote. My first thought was yote just by the posture of it

buckee
I added to my picture in the above post. You could almost take that yote and place it over the pic you have for an exact match. .
