Wimpy
A local outdoor store had what I think was a pretty good deal on a Summit Viper climbing stand, they had it for $179.00 so I bought it. Any of you have one and how well do you like it? This is my first Summit stand, but I have been wanting one for a couple of years now. fly
They are terrible and you should get rid of it! I'll be gracious enough to take it off your hands for the price you gave for it. Seriously, that's a great price! I wonder if it is an older model? Does it have the rapid climb stirups? I'm hoping to save enough to buy the Viper Ultra from Cabela's for this fall. It runs 249.00. backwoods07
I had the Viper SS. I paid $240 WITH my employee discount. It was a sweet stand, I just HATED using climbers. I'd manage to walk 1.5 miles to the tree carrying the stand without sweating, but climbing always made my nerves go crazy and I'd be soaked by the time I got to where I wanted to be. fly
Well Wimpy since you never sent me a PM about the stand I went and bought a new Viper Ultra from Cabela's yesterday for 249.00. Came with a MB video, EZ hanger, and a foot rest. Doubt I'll use the foot rest though. I think I'll ask about it on a different post.
