PotashRLS
I'm walking the fence a bit. I understand the concept of "he did the crime and paid the time" but what does that do for the young people who idolize these athletes. Once an athelet signs on, they are no longer able to say "I didn't ask to be a role model" in my opinion. They are and will be scrutinized. Does the league have to set an example with Vick, not necessarily. But it would be nice to see someone in there with some fortitude to start forcing some better personal standards in Pro Sports for the young people to look up to. I may sound like an old fart or something but it does get sickening to hear about all the losers in some Pro Sports.
camoman1
They let all the other criminals play....might as well let him play too.
Stone Cold
I am a Raider fan and I am sure that the Piece of Crap owner will take him on the team!

They might as well let him in with all the other thugs, but it sure would be nice to see some organizations out there that would stick to their principles. People screw up for sure, but what he was doing was a bit more than a little screw up. I hate pro ball anyway!!! Come on college season! Casey
I'm on the fence with it to, but would like to see him play again. I'm not trying to say that I missed him at all cause I haven't but would like to see what he can do.
buckbuster11
There are guys playing that have done far worse. Vick payed his dues. Let him play.
Jorden
He did his time so if some team is crazy enough to sign him then it is fine with me:D
Tominator
They let all the other criminals play....might as well let him play too. Ditto. Funny how dog fighting incurs the penalty that it does, but the drug addicted wife beater illegal gun toters get a slap on the wrist a fine and suspension and they're playing again in no time. :bang:

spyderpancake
I for one am happy to see him back. Not that he is my favorite player or anything, but he was an exciting quarterback to watch and it will be interesting to see where he ends up. By the way, in my opinion, the whole sentencing was not about dog fighting. The IRS knew he was making money and didn't have any way of getting their hands into it, so they nailed him for tax evasion and knew the media would do the rest with the dog fighting. I do not think that what he did was right in any way, but IMHO the authorities were worried about more than the well-being of some dogs
gobblerroller
ABSOLUTELY! He was in prison for two years, lost all of his money, he deserves another chance. And that 4 or 5 game suspension that commisioner Goodell passed is unfair.
backwoods07
Let him play. He paid his dues and hopefully learned from his mistakes. As far as the kids looking up to him, I'm pretty sure they understand that what he did was wrong and that is not how you should act.

IT IS WRONG FOR PEOPLE, KIDS/PARENTS TO IDOLIZE, WORSHIP, LOOK UP TO OR WANNA BE LIKE AN ATHLETE OR ANY CELEBRITY. They are entertainers period. Some have it all together, some don't, most don't. You cannot judge these folks any different than any of us. They have no higher accountability to you or I or anybody else. Okay I'm done now. LOL! I seriously think he should give up being a QB, try to come out as a WR. He's tall and he's quick. He's got a great arm, but he never uses it.
