Getting rid of from your list #1,2,5 and 6(although there were times I'd have enjoyed the company) Adding to my pack, but try to keep it light. Most fits in my 8 pocket pants to not sound like pots and pans on the way in or out. 'bout all I really need here. #1- Tinks 69 soaked cotton balls on drag strings(also to hang) in 35mm canisters #2- flagging tape #3- Pen (filling out tags) #4- compass #5- compact flashlight #6-sammich #7- Shoulder strap deer drag #8- diaphram turkey call(got a fall season here) #9- lighter #10- cell phone #11- 2 way radio (if at pops- cell don't work)

fly
I don't use a back pack much, I prefer the waist pack since my climber is usually on my back. I only take a pack when I'm trying to film my hunts. My typical pack items for a 4-6 hour hunt: 1. Safety rope that attaches to the tree and then my safety harness (I wear the harness to my spot). 2. Hang it all belt 3. Range finder 4. Binoculars (depending on the stand I use) 5. Head band flashlight 6. Deer scent (type depends on time of year, usually doe estrus waffers) 7. Wind indicator 8. Knife 9. Head net 10. 30 ft. rope to haul up my bow 11. Gerber 6 inch saw for trimming branches Cell phone goes in my pocket, so if I fall it does too. redkneck
I guess I pack pretty light since I'm normally close to the house or the camp. Bowseason down here you better have a thermocell. Always carry a light with me, for tracking, finding my way out, esp during gun season so some moron don't shoot me at night. That's just about it, rope's on the stand already. I'd rather leave my bow at the house than my thermocell! I always have a GPS in the truck. I have no fear of getting lost on our lease, but if I need to get into some thick cover to track a deer, esp at night, I'll get my Garmin out of the truck while waiting for the deer to lay down. olsplittoe
I keep three pacs, the pac's on my climber have my draw rope in it and acts as a coke/water bottle holder, and grunt holder. The second bag on my stand is on the opp. side of the first and holds my lunch or snack as well as drinks and my poncho. All of these things I can leave with the stand if I decide to make a move to an existing hang-on stand, all of which have draw ropes and bow hangers. In my waste pack I'll have...... sent coversent gloves face mask Bino's couple of knife's drag rope GPS can call extra grunt lite THERMO-CELL (I'm in the South) cell phone marking tape saw and clips pocket game camera (small) I know it sounds like alot but I stay all-day in most cases.
