olsplittoe
I shoot a PSE Polaris it's about 13-15 years old. I do however updat sights almost every other, but porb never change from the biscut rest. This has been a great bow for me, but I do have my site's on a new one. I guess my question is who shoots a bow that is 5 years old or older?
Ethan Givan
Mine will be 5 years old after this season.
camoman1
Until last month, I was shooting a bow that was brand new in 1998. Still got it, and still shoot it from time to time. It shoots just as good as it ever did, still real quick and accurate. Kinda loud though. Heres a pic of old and new...http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee204/CatScratchFever_WI/011.jpg Edited July 28, 2009 by camoman1
bluelund79
My current bow is 8 years old or so, however, I bit the bullet and ordered a new bow this year. Was a present to myself that my wife blessed off on....
Tominator
I still have my first bow, a PSE I bought in 1987. I don't shoot it anymore though, waiting for one of my sons to grow into it. I also have my second bow. That one is a Golden Eagle Evolution I bought around 1994 I think.
Gator
Not me, I sold my first bow to finance my second. Then like a dumb ### sold it, wish I had that bow back

fly
I have a bear Whitetail II that I don't shoot anymore. I believe I bought it when I was 16 so that would make it about 22 years old. I've never replaced the string. I have a 2003 Bear TRX that I'm still using. Bought a new string for it this year.
Tony
im still shooting my 2004 Hoyt Ultratec for bowhunting. it shoots sooo good, that i dont even want to consider replacing it. i also have two 2003 Hoyt Protecs, 1 in camo and 1 in flame for indoor. the camo one is my hunting back up. wtnhunt
Would most certainly still be shooting my old 2000 or 2001 model pse fireflite 33 if one of the limbs had not cracked on it. pse exchanged my old bow for a 2006 model typhoon, similar performance, but considerably heavier bow. Quacker-Wacker
I'm still shooting my Mathews Q2XL from 2000. Wish I still had my favorite bow of all time, the old Hoyt Spectra Eclipse. I shot that bow better than any other but then again, my eyesight isn't what it used to be!
Squirrelhunter91
Not me, I'm shooting an 08 DXT. I still do have my very first bow though. An 02 Browning Micro Midas III. Killed my first deer and many animals with that.
struttinhoyt
I have a 2005 model Hoyt Vtec... I've changed the strings out on it twice... I have placed in several archery competitions and have taken several deer with it to.... Its a great bow and have served me well for the past couple years... But I think im gonna retire it after this year and buy a new one...

Predator
Still shooting my PSE Carroll Intruder. Bought new 1994 vintage? So around 15 years old. Only missed once at deer when I hit a thin limb I did not see. But that deer came back for a second arrow. I reduced the draw a bit from the 70 # to 60#'s but she still shoots great with standard 4 blade Steel force heads.
JimT
I am still shooting my 04 Dynatec. Things just shoots for me. May not be the fastest, lightest, most vibration free or whatever. It is though a very good all around bow.
ShaeR
Who still shoots an old bow I hunted with a Bear Whitetail with no let off til 2 years ago. Now I shoot a Bear Instinct. I have it shooting 317 fps. I have had some pretty good luck out of both bows. I would never get rid of my old bow.
High Country
Still shoot my High Country Ultra One Cam that my wife bought for me (birthday present) for the very high price of $300 back in 1997. Still outperforms my father's Mathew Legacy... Still using the same Keller Pendelum sight that I originally equipped it with...changed to a whisker biscuit rest about three-four years ago...and have changed quivers several times... Looking forward to bow season...

Nickel
I am shooting a that i bought in 2000-01 and i am not even thinking about looking at new bows. My previous bow was 10 years old when i sold it for this one. I dont see the sense in buying a new bow every couple years.
Mirage
I shoot my browning MIRAGE 1.5 still it is about 5 or 6 years old now. just getting broke in. I have killed many deer with it and I like it alot. It feels like part of me now Thats why I have hung on to it. i dont get a bow because of the hype I buy a bow that will take the abuse i put it through year after year. no problems with my bow. I Hunt every year hard with my bow and it serves me well. I just shot it last night and I was kitting the kill zone at 50 yards. I love that!
