I don't see how it was a repeat. I missed it last friday, but the same show airs again on sunday nights (at 9 and 12:30)...unless they showed two different ones, it wasn't a repeat. The two things that stand out in my mind that make me think 100% that it was not a repeat was that 1. his oldest son Mason was in this one and I am pretty sure his wasn't that old in 2006. And 2. His twins were also in this show...and I'm positive they weren't around then. As for Friday I guess we'll find out if it is a repeat or not, if I'm not mistaken this is the episode he mentioned on his bone collector show, it is also the trip where him and t-bone get their new alphamax bows and Waddell shoots that monster that was posted in the pro-staff room a few months back.

I'm 100% positive it wasn't a repeat. Unless for some odd reason the one they aired friday was different than the one aired Sunday night (both 9 and 12:30). Why? because 1. his oldest son takes a nice deer and he would have had to be around 5 in 2006, and he was much older than that in this episode(looked to be around 7 or 8). and 2. His twins were also in this episode, and they are only what..1-2 years old? As for this friday, we'll just have to see. It is supposed to be a Kansas hunt. If I'm not mistaken, it is the road trips version of the bone collector show where Michael and T-bone get their Alphamax bows.

May be something as simple as a programming issue at the outdoor channel, maybe they had scheduled for episode 3 and cued up episode 2, who knows. Have not gotten to sit down and watch the outdoor channel lately.

With the way the footage is on some of these shows that air on the outdoor channel where you see the same deer killed on different shows it can get a little confusing too. Noticed back earlier this year on the "Crush", brand new show for this season, that a good portion of the footage was of the same hunts that had aired on "gettin close". Don't know how many different episodes with Lee and Tiffany they have showed the "big brow tine buck", but seems like it was on just about every other week. When checking out the show it was indeed a new episode, just was some old footage even though it seemed like it was a rerun. Not to take anything away from them, but no idea why they would do that for a new show.

Yes all the hunts on the Crush prior to July 7 were repeats as it started to air during the off season instead of Gettin Close as they werent using that name anymore.

So was last Fridays episode different from the one they aired on Sunday night? The one Sunday was for sure a new one.

It was a repeat, my DVR didnt tape it...and I looked at this fridays and it says its a repeat as well.

I don't have any experience with a DVR, but don;t they just go by the name of the episodes to tell if it is a repeat or not? If so, that's why I am guessing it is telling you they are repeats. Texas whitetail and Kansas whitetail are what the episode guide here on the Realtree site has them named as, seems like they have used them names in the past. This new episode that is airing tonight is a Kansas hunt, and if I'm not mistaken, it is the Road trips version of the bone collecter show where Waddell and T-bone get their Alphamax bows.
