muzzy1
we have the cabelas 1 1/2 hp.This thing is a beast..it will eat up the meat faster than you can stuff it down.it has a #32 neck so you dont have to cut the meat up in small chunks ,strong motor very well built.Easy to clean A++++++

How often will you use it When I use it, how much meat will I be grinding. Do I have the space to store a large grinder ie (50-60lbs.) I have NorthernTool Grinder for over 10 years and it has yet to fail me... And for 100 bones you cant beat the price.. But if you want to pony up 300-500 dollars you can... muzzy1
WE TRIED THE CHEAP ROUTE AND HAD TO SEND IT BACK.THE MOTORS DONT HAVE THE POWER YOU NEED+YOU WILL HAVE TO CUT THE MEAT UP INTO 1"CHUNKS JUST TO GET THE MEAT TO GO IN..If you dont want any problems, having to stop and clean it out/motor stoping becouse lack of power/ than do your self a favor get a 1hp+ and you should be good.We put 8 deer a year in ours and NO problems..again my 2 cents!! redkneck
You dont have to spend that kind of cash to have a good grinder. I'm buying a new one this year, and this is what the guys on here reccommended. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87915
wtnhunt
Don't think you could go wrong with one of the cabelas grinders, however don't know why you would need a $500 commercial grade grinder unless you are planning to go into a deer processing business.
