archerjg
Re: Recurve/LongBow? Depends on what you want to spend? AIM makes some good bows. Bear has some nice bows especially the Byron Ferguson series. Then there are the myriad of custom bow makers. Archerjg
JimPic
Re: Recurve/LongBow? Ryan, the best thing you can do is to shoot as many differant kinds of bows that you can get your hands on-both recurves and longbows. Some of the custom bowyers have a "try before you buy" deal. Also eBay is a decent place to pick up used bows but be careful if you don't know what you're looking for-you can get burned on a piece of junk bow. Here's a link to most of the top bowyers and a traditional classifieds(this is a great sight!). http://65-242-99-131.hagenhosting.com/cgi-bin/classifieds.cgi

robk
Re: Recurve/LongBow? if you want to get into longbows and not spend a ton of money go with one of dan quillians longbows. i sure like mine and it;s a 45 lber and it's a smooth and very easy to shoot bow and i am using it this fall for a deer hunt my first with a traditional bow good luck rob k

Chrud
Re: Recurve/LongBow? Nice target Tony! Hope it's working well for you. I love the looks of the Mathews Heritage. Contact them and ask for the brochure on it. You'll love the custom oak rack for it. It isn't cheap, but it looks great!
