Jeramie
So I haven't been on here nearly as much these days. Work keeps me in a meeting, behind a wheel, or in an airplane seat most of the time. However they made one big mistake...... They ordered me a blackberry with the unlimited datd plan last week! Its 7:30 here, I've already driven over 100 miles this morning, in fact I'm running south on hwy 75 right now, but by dang I'm gettin my realtree fix! wtnhunt
Remind me to pull over if I see you coming! Ben Have fun with it Jeramie, but be careful bud. Some states like this one have passed laws making it a citable offense to drive while texting/surfing/talking on cell phones.

Jeramie
Not in oklahoma. It was on the news this week. The state house hasd rejected the bill 3 times. I have seen Tulsa cops doing it while in their cruisers..... Have fun with it Jeramie, but be careful bud. okiedog
And I believe Oklahoma is about to as well. I wish they would! Those people are always weaving on the road going 10 miles an hour under/over the speed limit. I can almost always pick out a driver that is on their cell, but the ones texting are just plain stupid. wtnhunt
Check and see how many wear their seat belt.....:nono: Exactly. Some do some don't. Betting those that don't would still write you a ticket too.
Jeramie
Exactly. Some do some don't. Betting those that don't would still write you a ticket too. You guys are right about that! What really ticks me off is when they park in the dark without a single light on. Or when they park in the median! We have a city cop that parks at the end of my drive (my drive is 560' long). I dont have a problem with that because its nice to have an on duty security guard and someone keeping an eye on the road but he never has on a single light. Its typically pitch black while he is out there and the city cars are black so you cant see him at all until youre within about twenty feet! He was across the road this morning, I pulled out, and If I would have swung out just a hair more I would have clipped him! It was 4:45 and raining! I couldnt have seen him if I had tried. It wasnt until my lights hit the cruiser that I saw it.
dance.and.shoot
First of all, I know i'm writing this almost 3 months after you guys stopped talking about it, but I thought it was an interesting thread and wanted to give my 2cents. Exactly. Some do some don't. Betting those that don't would still write you a ticket too. While there are a lot of cops that don't wear their seatbelts (and i've told everyone I see that it's stupid of them) many won't give you a ticket for not wearing yours. There's one officer that i'm friends with and he'll almost never give a ticket to someone who's going 80 in a 65 zone on the freeway...because he goes that fast on the freeway. If it's something that he does, he doesn't feel he has the right to punish you for that, because it's something that he could get punished for. (there are a couple exception to him not giving you a ticket of course) that's just my 2cents, I do agree with how dangerous texting is. which is why i try to prevent doing it (especially now that it's illegal)
