Ohiobucks
Your house will get built, no worries. Farmers need it anyway. Think "big picture". Edited July 31, 2009 by Ohiobucks
wtnhunt
No freaking kidding, wonder if what hit us last night is headed your way. If so, expect a couple more inches and some strong gully washers. We picked up over 2 inches last night in a little over an hour, also had tornado warnings and watches, wife was sure wishing that the basement was done. I stepped out and watched for a few minutes right before dark and the mud was slipping down the sides of where our basement is dug out. Hopefully our contractor will be able to get the basement walls framed and poured soon so I can start backfilling and cleaning up some of this mess. While it is nice to get moisture in July and not have a drought for a change, this is a bit too excessive. Guessing we have to be close to breaking or have broken a record for July rainfall. I know we have gotten over a foot of rain here for July.
jm23494
Looks like the storm that has been dumping on you will be here in Central PA anytime. Just what we need another 3-4 inches of rain in an hour like we got last week.:bummed:

Tominator
Basically no work done today. Framing crew showed up, assessed the situation, found out they had no electricity (thanks electric co-op ), got their Excursion stuck in the gumbo briefly and took off for a punch out on another site saying they'd be back Monday. :bang: The good news is, my framing crew is Amish. Tominator
lol. Amish framing crew driving an excursion. LOL--they're not allowed to drive, they just ride along. I don't understand that one either. Here's the funny thing, as we were all standing there in the rain I said to them "this rain isn't even showing up on the radar, I just checked it..." and Eddy (the Amish leader) says "I know, I just checked the radar on my phone and it looks all clear...." Now, I'm sure my phone has the capability of checking weather.com, but I'm pretty sure I don't know how to access it, but an Amish dude does. We have water and mud standing on our footing still this morning. Side walls are caving in in some places. Bad thing is we have more rain in the forecast.:bummed:
