Fite234
Hello all my name is Jordan and I am with the US Army stationed at Ft Campbell KY. I am inquiring about areas to hunt around Ft Campbell as this will be my first season home in two years and i dont know the area all that well. Any help will be nice. I can usually get out on the weekends so any outfitter is really out of the question without wasting precious money. Once again thanks for the help. wtnhunt
Welcome to the forums Jordan, and thank you for serving. Some good deer in that area. Pretty sure there are wma's on the Tennessee side in Stewart and Montgomery county.

ruttinbuc
Can't you hunt the camp itself?
fly
http://www.fortcampbellmwr.com/Recreation/HuntingFishing/ Maps, stats, pictures, most everything you need to get a game plan going. Ask around the post and I'll be you find some other soldiers that will be glad to help. Nice place, my old unit used to travel there each year for weapons qualification (awesome range)! Welcome to the RT forums! Edited August 3, 2009 by fly

Fite234
You can hunt on post but I am also trying to find places around post to hunt. This is coming from guys that I have asked. It is very competitive on the acreage they let you hunt on post. Don't think that I wont be hunting on post tho lol. I am not afraid to stretch it out to the far back woods and go the extra mile. Thanks for the help you guys are providing tho.

The link fly posted would probably be a good place to start. There is high fence along highway 79 in Stewart and Montgomery counties along the property, that area you can just tell that there has to be some good deer. If you are wanting to hunt off base, would check the wma's and land between the lakes.

The hardest part of hunting on post is dealing with the training schedule of other units and the mass amount of guys that hunt on post. I have looked into LBL and met a guy that runs CK Outfitters in Woodlawn TN who seems to be of good help. Like I said tho I will deff be hunting on post. I also found of a few more populated areas to hunt n post that I see deer adn I dont think anyone is willing to hunt them soclose to the everyday bluster. I dont mind having killed nice deer withing city limits back home.
